What will happen at an appointment for my child?
The Physiotherapist will complete an assessment of the area in question and provide a plan of treatment at the first appointment.
Treatment may include advice and exercises where appropriate. Hands-on treatment is used in older children, as is taping if needed. We can also discuss and assess for insoles if necessary.
Wearing or bringing suitable clothing (shorts for leg problems) is very helpful. In younger children, feel free to bring any toys or books that they like.
If your child is shy or becomes upset, don’t worry, we are used to it! We are very friendly and work hard to help both the child and carers feel comfortable.
